Let me set the scene. You are at home, comfortable on your sofa after a long day at work and are just chilling with a cup of tea, with one eye on the tv and the other scrolling through your social media home page. You spot an ad for a pretty dress, and you pause. You might click on it, read a few reviews but you are just too nervous to take the plunge.

Why? Because you’ve been caught out in the past with an online purchase simply being too good to be true. You ordered something that either didn’t show up or was nothing like product pictured in the ad. The sizing was off, the material inferior, probably transparent and just poorly made. So you keep scrolling.

I’ve been there too, too many times to mention. Buy cheap – get cheap, generally rings true.

But I want to talk to you about a company called ChicWish, https://www.chicwish.com

You have probably seen their ads pop up from time to time on your feed.

I first noticed them about a year ago when I spotted an ad for a beautiful floaty maxi skirt that they offered in a variety of colours. I hesitated, saved the post and came back to it several times, trying to decide if it was worth the risk. It wasn’t expensive but it was enough to make me consider whether I was willing to spend out on something that would potentially end up in the bin. In the end I decided to search #chicwish and check out some posts from others that had been a little braver than me, and I was pleasantly surprised. These clothes looked good, really good. I bit the bullet and ordered that skirt, in pink (though was tempted to put one of every colour into my basket).

I checked the sizing chart against my measurements, and I was coming up as a small, I’m a UK 8-10 for reference, but I decided to size up and order a medium, still nervous that this wasn’t going to turn out well and it would be better to have a skirt that was a little too big that I could adjust than one I couldn’t get into at all.

The skirt arrived, and it was perfect, Super long as a maxi skirt should be, touching the floor (I’m 5’4”) so it will have plenty of length for leggier people. It was really lovely quality fabric and a perfect fit. By perfect, I mean it was a little big due to me sizing up and that’s great news as it means their sizing is accurate. I later ordered a dress in a size S and that really did fit perfect. Both items received many compliments when I wore them. I have since ordered the skirt in another colour.

In fact, it’s now a website I browse constantly as they have such a fantastic range of styles, perfect for all seasons. There is so much choice that you can piece together entire outfits or mix things up with pieces you already own to create a unique look.

I also feel their products are suitable for all ages, teens to fully fledged adults. I’m in my forties and it doesn’t feel too young for me or too mature. I love getting creative with fashion but also love the ease of just throwing something on that I don't have to think about but it still look good. I find that ChicWish is versatile enough to siut both sides of me.

The pink maxi skirt of dreams. https://www.chicwish.com/timeless-favorite-chiffon-maxi-skirt-in-pink.html

Another fab skirt in Tulle, available in many colours. https://www.chicwish.com/my-secret-garden-tulle-maxi-skirt-in-purple.html I also love this cute faux fur jacket https://www.chicwish.com/wide-lapel-snug-faux-fur-coat-in-purple.html-

This little blouse is so pretty and versatile. https://www.chicwish.com/pearly-neck-tie-back-embossed-crop-top-in-cream.html

I feel confident now that anything I order from them will not only look great, but feel great, fit well and last well. There is nothing worse than buying something you thought would become a firm wardrobe staple falling apart after the first wash.

They are also super affordable, by this, I am not implying that they are cheap, this is not Primark. On average you can expect to pay around $20  to $70 (you will find things listed in American dollars on the website but there is the option to convert it to several other currencies including GBP).

There are a few things a little pricier such as coats, you might be looking around $100 which is totally acceptable for a coat in my opinion, you can't scrimp when it comes to keeping warm!

I’d liken their prices to that of Next, Zara, and River Island. I’d liken their quality to those stores too.

I love the wrap design of this 40% wool coat. https://www.chicwish.com/plaid-pattern-rabato-coat-in-coral.html

You will find that they usually have discount offers running too, so look out for those either on their home page or the ad banner at the top of each page. These maybe offering % off on certain order amounts and free shipping.

With regards to shipping, please note that this company is overseas so next day delivery is not an option, this isn’t ASOS, but all good things come to those who wait, lol.

I’d say to expect your delivery to take around 10 days but it may surprise you and reach you a bit sooner.

They also offer free returns on anything that isn’t suitable as long as the tags are left on, and let me tell you they are big tags, so don’t think you’ll be able to get a sneaky picture then send it back.

The chicest knit dress, and it is so soft and comfortable too. https://www.chicwish.com/button-front-ribbed-knit-a-line-midi-dress-in-cream.html

I have ordered many things from them now (and have been fortunate enough to collaborate with them on occasion but that does not affect my review), dresses, skirts, knitwear, coats etc and am yet to find fault with them.

I would recommend checking the size guide for each item before ordering as measurements may vary slightly between styles, some things I have opted to size up on as I prefer a loser fit. I would also suggest reading some of the reviews and that will also give you a good indication on sizing, fit and quality.

I would 100% recommend them and will for sure be ordering from them again in the near future.

I’d love to hear if you’ve ordered from them before and what your thoughts are.

I’d also love to hear if this blog has convinced you to them a try, let me know in the comments.

Many thanks,

Lenny
